Two Oceans 2025 review
This was a watershed moment for me. Running this race wasn’t just about the physical show of strength but also a mental and spiritual effort.
Starting line smile
Firstly, I ran this race in support of Badisa Tygerberg an NPO that renders children protection services. This in itself brought a different meaning to me why I was running the race. I encourage everyone who enjoy the sport of running to support charities when running such iconic races. Two Oceans charity entries.

I got some relative bad news a few days before the race. I took this time to reflect and refresh my mind. Right at the starting line I decided that I was to run and reflect. This was an opportunity for me to do some retrospection. I was no longer doing the race for my next PR but to connect with myself spiritually and mentally. Watching all the supporters and runners was really refreshing. Throwing in some banter with some fellow runners. Thanking the marshals. This was perfect. I did pray and meditated about the future especially climbing up Southern Cross hills. I realised when I cross the finishing line this would be the start of something new and amazing. I finished the race counting my blessings and filled with so much gratitude.
People are resilient and I choose to build my resilience from rock bottom empowered by my faith in Jesus Christ. When adversity comes for you, there is always strength and victory on the other side of it.
Let’s build people!!!! Go One More!!!
Bagged the bronze
What a race. Did I mention about 17000 people took part in the race 😳
